About

The Fun and Games Started Long Ago….

Steeped in history, The Wembley Hotel, established in 1932 was the first two storey building in Wembley. The beautiful historic Federation and Art Deco building has been classified by the National Trust for its architectural significance.

The history of The Wembley Hotel has been well documented over the years and its beginnings saw many a traveller come to visit. The Wembley was the terminus tram stop before holiday makers would make their way down the old Plank Road, now known as Oceanic Drive, to the beach.  Plank Road was the first road built from Perth to the beach.

The Wembley has always been a popular place to meet with locals and visitors alike and is ingrained as an industry icon.  Over the years, The Wembley has evolved to be one of Perth’s greatest iconic neighbourhood bars.

We’re all for Keeping it Local.

The Wembley is a family friendly local bar and bistro, supporting Western Australian brands, businesses and people. Offering great valued local produce, our passionate and driven staff provide a natural and genuine service in an authentic, endearing venue.

West Australian made, owned and operated from the first beer poured in 1932, to the cocktails mixed today. The Wembley has always been an individual and approachable host to the public of Perth, and we love what we do. Whether you want to come for a meal, hold a function, watch your favourite sporting team, or simply join us for a drink, we would love to have you.
